Why choose us?

We care. We do our best. We work as a Team.
We value and respect our patients and each other.
We believe in learning and sharing knowledge and skills.

We Care:

We choose to be a traditional whanau-focused practice. We recognise the injustices of poor health and work towards health equity. One of the ways we do this is to make access easier by keeping fees low for example free appointments with our highly trained Nurses and Clinical Pharmacist for all who are enrolled with us.

We do our best:

Our patients are at the centre of everything we do, and we do our best for them. Our professional and friendly administrative team work to support you and your whanau through your health journey. They also organise your care with the best people to help you such as experienced doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

We work as a Team:

With patients in the centre, our experienced GPs work closely with our Nurses, Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacist and Health Improvement Practitioners so that you always benefit from our combined expertise. As partners in your healthcare, our wonderful Nurses will organise things with the rest of our Team. They will guide you through so that you get the right care as quickly as possible.
We also want to thank our Expert Health and Wellness Coach Anthony Lavemai for all his hard mahi over the last few months, and the Health Improvement Practitioners and Team who continue to provide free professional, kind, and timely mental health support for our patients.

We believe in learning and sharing knowledge and skills:

We encourage our staff to continually improve their skills. Our excellent Nurses and Nurse Practitioner have extended training, qualifications and skills. Our longstanding GPs are vocationally qualified.
Tokoroa Family Health is also a Cornerstone and teaching facility accredited for GP and Nursing training.
